Recognizing the transformative power of nature and the barriers that prevent many women from experiencing the outdoors, Banded Peak Brewing has partnered with Get Outside to create: The Banded Peak x Get Outside Bursary.
At its core, Get Outside is not just about venturing into the wilderness; it's about fostering a community where women can find support, encouragement, and the resources to explore the outdoors confidently. Their mission is to empower others to explore the outdoors, challenge themselves, learn new skills, and have fun doing it. They focus on getting women out exploring, connecting, and growing. The Get Outside experience doesn’t end with the adventure, rather, that’s where it begins.
The Banded Peak x Get Outside Bursary shines as a dynamic initiative designed to empower women to lace up their boots, pack their bags, and conquer the great outdoors. The fund focuses on individuals who yearn to connect with nature but are held back by financial constraints. Through the generous contributions raised by the sale of Banded Peak’s International Women’s Day brew, the bursary provides the necessary support for applicants to pursue outdoor activities, build invaluable skills, and join a vibrant community of fellow adventurers.
Crafted to honor Vikki Weldon, a pioneering Canadian climber, this sour beer embodies the essence of women who push the limits. Infused with raspberries, mint, and lemon tea, each sip of this audacious brew celebrates the fearless spirit of women climbers with its bold floral and citrus notes, accentuated by the unique Pink Boots hop blend.
