Crafted by the women of Banded Peak Brewing in celebration of International Women’s Day, Above the Summit Raspberry Peach Sour is a tribute to strength, resilience, and the determination of women who continue breaking barriers in beer, in the outdoors, and in their communities.

About the Beer

Bright, expressive, and rooted in community, Above the Summit is brewed exclusively with locally grown cereal grains and layered with vibrant fruit character.

Inspired by the classic Bellini cocktail, this 6.0% sour ale blends ripe raspberry and juicy white peach into a lively, tart finish that feels both celebratory and refreshing.

At its foundation is Prairie Pale Malt, Origin’s premium base malt sourced from fifth-generation Alberta family farmland, which provides a subtle bready structure that allows the fruit to shine while keeping the beer grounded in local agriculture.

From there, the fruit takes centre stage. Raspberry purée delivers a smooth, rich mouthfeel with delicate sweetness balanced by bright, zesty acidity, bringing depth and a jammy vibrancy to every sip. White peach layers in the unmistakable character of sweet, hand-picked peaches, juicy, aromatic, and softly rounded , while the hop blend adds subtle fruit complexity.

In the glass, Above the Summit pours a striking coral red with a gentle haze from raspberry purée and grain proteins, crowned by delicate white foam. Fresh, jammy raspberries lead on the nose, followed by sweet peach and lively acidity, with light bready undertones rounding out the bouquet. On the palate, it’s refreshing and tart, with natural fruit sugars balancing the bright acidity. The texture is silky yet sparkling, lively effervescence lifting berry and stone fruit notes that linger tangy and thirst-quenching on the finish.

Partner Spotlight: Alberta Wildlife Federation – Women in Conservation

This year, we’re proud to partner with Alberta Wildlife Federation and their Women in Conservation program, an initiative dedicated to increasing representation, confidence, and leadership opportunities for women in Alberta’s outdoor spaces.

For decades, the Alberta Wildlife Federation has worked to conserve fish, wildlife, and habitat across the province through advocacy, education, and hands-on stewardship. Women in Conservation builds on that legacy by creating intentional pathways for women to participate fully in conservation.

The program offers hands-on workshops, mentored fishing experiences, habitat restoration projects, educational seminars, and community events designed to:

• Build practical outdoor skills in welcoming, supportive environments
• Reduce barriers to participation in traditionally male-dominated spaces
• Foster mentorship and long-term community connections
• Empower women to become active advocates for conservation

At its core, Women in Conservation is about confidence, helping participants feel capable, knowledgeable, and empowered in the outdoors.

To further support that mission, a portion of the proceeds from every Above the Summit Raspberry Peach Sour sold will be donated directly to the Women in Conservation program.
