Banded Peak Brewing: Beer That Gives Back.

Banded Peak Brewing is relaunching their ‘Beer That Gives Back’ initiative. The first recipient for 2021 will be in support of the Rocky Mountain Adaptive (RMA). Due to the pandemic Rocky Mountain Adaptive were hit hard over the past year. Not only having to cancel two of their biggest annual fundraisers, ShredAbility and ForeAbility, but program cancellations and downsizing of their team. In efforts to help support RMA, Banded Peak will be donating a portion of every Uptrack Hazy IPA four-pack sold. Proceeds raised will build a brand-new Bowhead Reach from Bowhead Corp. Orders can be placed online www.bandedpeakbrewing.com, purchased at the Banded Peak Taproom, or local liquor stores across Alberta.

Rocky Mountain Adaptive (RMA) is a registered charity providing individuals ranging from children to older adults, with physical, intellectual, cognitive, or developmental challenges to participate, learn and excel in all sports and creation activities in the Canadian Rockies.

Bowhead Corp creates and builds adaptive electric mountain bikes designed for adventure. The Bowhead reach can take you places you’ve never been or to places you yearn to reach again.

“Here at Rocky Mountain Adaptive we strive to make the mountains accessible to all through providing opportunities for those living with a disability to participate in mountain sport and recreation. Initiatives like the one Banded Peak Brewing is undertaking currently to fundraise for a new Bowhead Reach, an adapted mountain bike, are truly so impactful to what we do here. Alongside allowing us to provide more adapted experiences in the mountains, this type of community love has immeasurable impacts on our participants. This piece of equipment was one of our most popular last summer, and this potential addition from Banded Peak Brewing would allow us to expand this particular experience this coming summer and get more individuals out on the trails. We can’t thank Banded Peak Brewing enough for thinking of us.”  Alana MacLeod, Community Outreach Coordinator, Rocky Mountain Adaptive.

“We chose RMA because they align with our core values of promoting and engaging individuals in outdoor adventure. We have been in conversations with Bowhead, a local Calgary company, for several years about partnering up, brewing a beer together and building an adaptive mountain bike that we could share with a group that would use it and RMA was a great fit. They already have one of the Bowhead bikes and it is always booked solid through the summer with a long waiting list, receiving the second bike is going to allow even more individuals to get outside, bike and ideally drinking Banded Peak after.” Alex Horner, Founder, Banded Peak Brewing.

Banded Peak ‘Beer That Gives Back’ initiative has raised over $2100.00 in the past year for various local charities and hope to continue the success with Rocky Mountain Adaptive.
